I am admittedly biased, since the original house was designed and built in 1960 by my frandfather Casper Krüger, great-grandson of the legendary Paul Krüger, which the present owners have subsequently converted into the 4-star Kassaboera lodge. Having grown up here, several of my cousins and I recently used the occasion of a family reunion to return to this grand old home to rekindly fond memories, wondering if the intervening 60 years had altered any of our recollections at all. What a pleasant surprise it was to discover that the present owners, Manie and Amanda, have done an excellent job here in the restoration of this special place! All the charm of the original house remains, with the high, thatched roof and spacious interior, but now with modern luxuries and conveniences added, such as the beautiful swimming pool and lovely gardens. From here it is still possible to undertake long, leisurely strolls along the lake. Now I am happy in the thought that this remains one of my favorite places on earth.

The tour and the dancing were extraordinary. Every person on the property worked hard to make sure my fiancé and I were happy on our visit. The room was comfortable and well-equipped. People from all over the world came during our visit. It was wonderful!

The property also boasts a lovely bar and a heated pool, which made it the perfect spot to unwind after a day of exploring. The menu is affordable, with a variety of delicious options that didn’t break the bank. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed for a perfect stay. The unique ambiance and all the amenities truly made it a memorable experience. I highly recommend Club Cocomo for anyone looking for a peaceful, affordable, and enjoyable getaway. I’ll definitely be back.
