Situated within the Ukhahlamba Drakensberg World Heritage Site, this 4-star hotel is surrounded by gardens and overlooks the Drakenberg Mountains. Absolutely our favourite stay in South Africa! Quiet, peaceful with the best views on the mountains! And all the hiking routes available are wonderful! We had great food, the staff are friendly and the cats are very friendly as well.

Located right on Durbans North Beach, Belaire Suites Hotel offers rooms with free WiFi. Durban Station is 1 km away, and the on-site Café Jiran serves award winning coffee. The staff were amazing to cater to all our needs. The maintenance old guy is sweet and made sure our stay was comfortable. Our AC was having some issue and he came to fix it during the night. Great Staff, very accommodating and dedicated.

Offering panoramic views of the Indian Ocean, Venti Dell'Est is set in Westbrook, 32 km from Durban and 17 km from Umhlanga. Absolutely everything. A beautiful well designed secure complex. The apartment was huge and well appointed, spotless with a stunning view of the ocean. I was fortunate to have an apartment with a wall of windows opening out to the balcony, allowing you to catch the sea breeze. An amazing property with walkways, a pool and bbq area. The abundant vegetation created a jungle ambience. A delicious continental breakfast served to your room each morning. The staff were so friendly, sincere and helpful. For travellers, powerful wifi and loads of water pressure! The on-site hosts, Deborah and Craig create memorable experiences for those lucky enough to stay.

Located close to Bergville, Dalmore Guest Farm offers accommodation with an outdoor pool and water sports facilities. Complimentary WiFi is provided. We were en route to a location in the Free state and chose Dalmore for it's location. Well what a wonderful experience! We had no idea how lovely this place was. Dylese was so attentive and lovely as our host. The staff were lovely. The food was an absolute delight, with the chef personally seeing to our needs in the dining room. Lovely comfortable surroundings to include a swimming pool. The accommodation was extremely comfortable. We ended up staying a second night on our return from the Free State, as we enjoyed it so much. I would highly recommend Dalmore to all my friends. Big thanks to all the staff for making our stay so comfortable and welcoming.

Situated on a litchi farm, Monzi Safari Lodge offers self-catering accommodation in Monzi and 20 km away from St Lucia. Super cute lodge, you feel home as soon as you enter, pool surrounded by trees...Feels like holidays as soon as you arrive. Nosipho, who is part of the staff, was very kind and helped us straight away in booking the safaris' experiences for Hluhluhwe-Imfolosi and Isimangaliso parks. Even before we arrived, she advised us on the best road to take (and not to take) and shared the load sheeding schedule. Very few lodges hence it's quiet, and nice to walk around.

Located on the foothills of the Southern Drakensberg, Lake Naverone Holiday Cottages is set on large estate with 2 lakes and 7 km of river frontage. Staff were very friendly. Really good value.
