Shepherds Tree Game Reserve is a lodge concession, located on the south western portion of the Pilanesberg Game Reserve and 18 km away from Sun City. It’s a fantastic place!!! We stayed one night in the “luxury suite”. For us it was the perfect amount of time on safari ( 2 x 3.5 hours) but we could’ve stayed another night just to enjoy the facilities and the private pool!

Tshukudu Bush Lodge, set in the malaria-free Pilansburg National Park, overlooks a waterhole and is home to Africa’s Big 5 game. It features a plunge pool and spa treatments can be arranged. Beautiful bedrooms overlooking the watering hole. Giant bath tubs, huge beds, cosy fires. Delicious food and drink. Most amazing, kind staff.

Located alongside Pilanesberg National Park, The Kingdom Resort offers air-conditioned accommodation on either a room only or self-catering basis. Sun City Resort is 5 km away. Absolutely loved everything, a peaceful and tranquil getaway just 2 hours from Pretoria. The activities were great to keep the kids entertained and only 5 mins drive from Sun City.

Featuring a pool surrounded by lush vegetation, the Bakubung Bush Lodge is located in the Pilanesberg National Park. It offers a variety of massages, and has elegantly decorated rooms with free Wi-Fi.... Very knowledgeable and friendly safari drivers. Be sure not to miss the Wednesday bush dinner
