good location and helpful staff, clean and spacious room. Breakfast is good with both European and Japanese options
Everything, the staff were so friendly and helpful, the location is amazing, a 3 minute walk from the ferry, right on the Main Street. Our hotel room had an incredible view where you could see the floating Torii from the room, and the whole bay. The dinner was supper delicious and the Japanese breakfast too. The outdoor baths (onsen) on the roof was incredible, as you can see the whole bat and the torii. The only shame is we didn’t stay longer.
As in all Integate brand hotels, I like that all guests can enjoy complimentary snacks, drnks, at various times of the day at the saloon. The hotel has a public bath which is a plus. The room space is not too small especially in Japanese standard. We had a rental car and there are quite a few parking lots around the area. We always tried to look for cheapest one every night.
Authentic Japanese experience. Great choice at Japanese evening buffet, even for my picky-eating daughter, who does not like “exotic” food. The choice was great and truly everybody will find something to make them happy. Same for breakfast. Staff spoke some English and communication was not a problem due to extreme helpfulness and friendliness. Thank you so much for adding this experience to our journey!!!
The property providing a perfect blend of modern amenities and cozy charm. I appreciated the cleanliness and quite place even its at the back of Train station. The hotel’s location is another major plus very close to almost everything shops, food chain, 7eleven.
Good reasons to stay in Sakuraya: - Location (on the island Miyajima!). - Kindness of the staff. - Japanese style rooms (warning! Sleeping on a Japanese futon might be uncomfortable if you are picky with mattresses). - Onsen in the basement to get a relaxing bath at the end of the day. - Breakfast for 500 yens. The breakfast is not very generous, but it is a good deal for that price.
I’m not a fan of big chain hotels, but this location was so convenient - right at the Shinkansen station - easy to find, short walk. Hop on hop off bus leaves from right outside. Heaps of places to eat in the train station complex and surrounding streets. Staff were super helpful and efficient, and the upstairs bar was a nice spot for a quiet drink with happy hour pricing. And the room was huge by Japanese standards!
If you’re looking for a more traditional Japanese hostel stay, this is the place, much better than the commercial/chain hostels. All travellers during my stay were friendly, nice to have a welcome drink on arrival, the host was very accomodating. Short walk to the train station
useful amenities - public bath, buffet breakfast with Japanese and limited western options, coin laundry facilities and vending machines. intuitive APA chain TV system. helpful staff
