I stayed here for 2 nights on my own to celebrate my 30th birthday and had a GREAT time. Room: The room I got assigned to is spacious and clean with great privacy. There are so many beautiful details in the room's decoration that simply staying in it without doing anything is enjoyable enough. The outdoor hot spring has an amazing view to the sea and is super comfortable. Service: The staff are extremely nice and polite. Even though they don't speak English, they try everything to communicate with international guest without making me feel any discomfort. Food: Breakfast and dinner are included. I didn't even need to think about lunch as the meals provided by the hotel are too luxurious and I was full all day. For my 2-night stay, every dish provided in the dinner is different from the other day. Environment: The hotel is located in a local neighborhood. Instead of being drowned by tourists, I got to experience the tranquility and peacefulness of rural life here. Transportation: I took taxi for JR station <> hotel, which is a 10min or so ride. The hotel can help reserve a taxi for you upon request as it's hard to get one at the location of the hotel by yourself. I also went to the Izu Shobaten Zoo which is a 35-40min walk or 10min walk + 15min bus ride from the hotel.

Sea view room is definitely worthy to pay with just a little difference. Every morning we woke up and sat in front of the window watching the ocean and the big birds flying, felt spoiled. Near the station, not difficult to find a few good restaurants within fair walking distance. Onsen on site is wonderful. The buildings are old but our rooms feels super clean. They probably have renovated the interior not many years ago. We stayed in a room with a small bathroom, water pressure is good. Room size is bigger than my expectation. Futon beds are comfortable enough to sleep in.

Rooms are big, cozy and elegant. The private bathroom (with onsen) was handy in the middle of the summer to be able to quickly freshen up. We loved the shared onsen. Breakfast buffet was well filled and good quality. We especially enjoyed dinner at the hotel also.
