The meals were excellent (both dinner and breakfast) and were served in the room, which has its pluses but is also a little strange as there is staff in your room early in the mornings. The staff is very nice and accommodating. The outside onsen is beautiful and is accessed with a fenicular which is a fun experience. Futons were comfortable and we had a private sink and fridge. The area is lovely and easy to walk from the station. Bedding was traditional futon and there is the option to rent yukatas which is nice. The kitchen and laundry area is great and the onsen fantastic. The private one always seemed to be available.
