Everything was incredible! From the quality of the stay, the food, the comfort, amenities, refreshments, the details (dimbare lights and a music box). You can feel the level of thought and love that has been put into it to make a remarkable stay! The staff are amazing, everyone was so kind and helpful! A special shoutout to Yuca, who made us feel so welcome, happy and put a smile on our faces with her positive and enthusiastic energy! Proof that good communication and hospitality is not only speaking the same language. 10/10 experience!

Everything was perfect. The apartment was huge and had all the necessary amenities. The area, although touristy during the day, was always very quiet and noise-free. At night, it was very quiet and peaceful and there were lots of restaurants nearby. Everything was very clean, and the staff was super friendly.

Our stay at Machi No Odoriba was simply perfect: from the moment they welcomed and checked us in to the moment we had to say goodbye. The highlight of this place is the staff. I will always remember the people I met here. They took the time to explain everything we needed to know and more about our room, the dishes we ate, the plates our food was served on and the main attractions to visit. They were always ready to answer every request and need for help. Their kindness was incomparable. But it was not just them. The room was beautiful: big and comfortable, with its own onsen. And the food was delicious: hands-down the best dinner and the best breakfast I had during my stay in Japan. Thank you for this authentic and fascinating experience!

Straight 10: the hostess is absolutely fantastic ans actively helped our stay into a success by helping us get travel arrangements fixed. The atmosphere is stunning, beautiful ryokan style rooms, great food, very good location next to the market and the castle, and just overall a very easy 10. And this is the 9th generation running it! There are not enough superlatives to describe the exceptional stay that we had at Asadaya. The service was out of this world - every single interaction with the wonderful staff was characterised by the utmost care and attention. The food was sensational - each dinner (kaiseki) course was a work of art, both visually and in terms of taste. We also enjoyed delicious Japanese breakfasts each morning (there is a western option available), and matcha and Japanese sweets before dinner. The rooms are traditional, extremely calm, and spacious - with a private garden. There's also an onsen where you can book a slot. And Kanazawa is a wonderful place to explore. We have not stopped thinking about this place since we left and I honestly cannot recommend it enough. We cannot wait to come back!
