This hotel is like paradise! They have a private ferry to shuttle you to the hotel and when you get there, the staff are on top of assisting you with bags and anything. Rooms are a bit of a walk from the lobby (around 2-5 mins) but once you get there, you're greeted with an amazing traditional spacious tatami room and a breath-taking view. Their onsen is great too, with a huge selection of shampoo and conditioner, spacious locker area and bathing area, and an outdoor onsen as an option. Their package breakfast and dinner are also amazing, where you'll experience very traditional Japanese food. You can have a morning walk on their mountaintop, which you can access through the roof deck. There's a small shrine also to pay respects and you can watch dolphins jump around the ocean while fishing with a rented fishing rod.

I stayed in a JP NisshoKan room which was spacious and comfortable, with incredible ocean views. The cave onsen were striking, with free-flowing healing mineral water, and the breakfast buffet was excellent. Be sure to go up to the observatory on the top of the hotel for sunset or sunrise views.

The rooms are Japanese style and very big with an amazing view on the sea. The breakfast and the dinner (in supplement) are very good. The hotel has both an indoor and an outdoor onsen and a direct access to the sea. I will definitely come again.

I had a wonderful stay at wakatake, the couple who runs the place is super sweet and helpful! They also have a dog called kyuuri, which I was allowed to pet. Also next to the Hotel is a very good restaurant that is kind of their sister branch, food there was amazing. But also the in house breakfast had everything you need to start the day and was delicious. They have a communal bath with onsen water which I really enjoyed. After that I went to my room and watched a DvD, as they have tons of DvD‘s and a TV+player in the room. My stay really had everything I wished for, and it was the perfect place for me to relax.

Onsen facilities were great! Rooms were well maintained despite the slightly dated facade, which actually adds to the charm of being in japan’s countryside. Location was accessible via car without any issues.

It's a bit old hotel near the wonderful beach. But it has everything you need including a nice onsen though it was a bit stuffy there. We had wonderful ocean view room. And it took about 10 min to get there from the train station. We rode to Nati temple and the part of Kumano kodo by a local bus that depatures from the station. There is a splendid fish market where we tasted tuna. And soaked our foot in the foot bathes. The hotel give 2 bicycles for free for 30 min. It was enough to ride along the beach. We like this town Kii-Katsuura very much!

It is literally at the bottom of the Kumano Koto trail so no need to travel into Kii Katsuura. The male staff were helpful, friendly and the dinner and breakfast were incredible. Definitely not worth searching for a restaurant. Thanks lads :)

The view from the room is superb!!, we stayed at Japanese tatami room type. The room was spacious and felt like ninja house where so many doors connected to different small rooms. We got buffet both dinner and breakfast. I would recommend you to try dinner, it was superb. Breakdowns is ok but nothing special. The staff were amazing!! :)

Buffet breakfast and dinner are good. Senior staff is more helpful and friendly in welcoming guest compared to the younger one especially young girl at the important first impression front office. Hotel itself is very run down. The only thing we enjoy was the food and cave onsen.

I had a great time in Nagisaya Hotel. The room is in traditionnel japanese style (tatami and futon on floor) and had a wonderful view on the sea. The hotel offers interior and exterior onsen where I had my best time with the view on the moutain and a little on the sea (only men onsen has total view on the sea, women are on the other side). The staff is really friendly.

The onsen was nice (small but nice). The room was 4 1/2 tatamis which is pretty small. I really like the owner, he was very friendly and gave me a thorough tour, explaining everything and in goodish english too.
