Excellent stay. Great location, clean and comfortable and good facilities as shown in photos. Very friendly staff. Amazing breakfast and nice mineral baths. Afternoon teas were a nice touch.

We were extremely fortunate to stay in the Choseiden cottage. The very generous layout and views over the garden towards the faraway mountains, the scrolls, the paintings, the wooden furniture of this once tea house, not too forget the private bath (“Onsen”) with its glass panel onto the forest were exquisite. The staff were most helpful and kind. Very warm thoughts go to Reina who brought us our meals and guided us through the intricacies of the local cuisine, while answering with a joyful warmth our relentless barrage of questions about Japanese culture and herself. A stay which will linger!

It is absolutely beautiful, we stayed in a western style room and it's absolutely huge! It also had an amazing view of the mountain behind. We didn't bother using the onsen as we have tattoos but we walked around the hotel and it's so beautiful with many art pieces and sculptures. The breakfast buffet was also very delicious and the dining hall was beautiful.

Perfect location less than a minute from the stairs to the shrine. Only a 10 minute walk to the train. Loads of shops line the stairs. The hotel itself was exceptional: staff, facilities, onsen, restaurant, room - all were absolutely top notch. One of our best stays in Japan!
