What a beautiful hotel!! Our bedroom had views to the lake, it was amazing. The dinner and breakfast were excellent, and the onsen was amazing. We were lucky, at the time we went my daughter and I had the whole onsen to ourselves.

Lake front with unobstructed view of the lake and Mt Uzu. Huge picture window at reception. Very helpful and wonderful staff who have gone beyond their means to assist us.

A family of 5 stayed here in February, this is the first time we stayed in this hotel. Although my booking is not included dinner, I pay for each guest 5000yen for dinner buffet and the buffet is outstanding! Polite staff and a beautiful dining hall , most of the food is surprisingly delicious! Onsen area is super clean and enjoyable! After hot springs can buy a bottle of cold milk at the changing area and it is really soothing!! 8.30pm have a fireworks event, it makes the night perfect.

Pretty nice hotel with kind and English speaking staff. The shuttle bus from and to the station is really convenient. I liked the onsen.

The included breakfast & dinner buffet had lots of amazing choices - no chance of going hungry. The Onsen area was very clean & the outdoor tubs & spa pool beautiful - the hot springs pools are quite traditional in design - so if you are looking for a modern spa experience this may not be your cup of tea. The whole resort was very tranquil - which was great after our stays in some of Japan's crowded cities. We liked the location in particular because it was a bit isolated - not in town - so it was quiet, but if you wanted more bustle & dining options this is probably not the place for you.

Set 24 km from Lake Toya, Horohoro Sanso offers 3-star accommodation in Date and has an open-air bath, a garden and a terrace. There is an in-house restaurant and free private parking.
