The entire estate was very beautiful, and the owner and the staff were very friendly and hospitable to my family. The food was impeccable for both dinner and breakfast, and it was very beautifully presented. The rooms were spacious, clean, and the beds were very comfortable. We love this place and would love to come back and stay again!

The cutest old lady who runs the whole guesthouse. She couldn't speak english but we communicated anyway and she tried her best! She even let me use the washing machine and dryer. I had a great stay, arigatou gozaimasu!

We LOVED the personalised service provided in traditional inns - especially by our caretaker and waitron Yasuyo Ohnishi! There can be no better location on the seashore within reach of Ise Temple Complex, located on Futiminoura Beach. They will pick you up and drop you off at the closest station and a  100m walk to the beautiful "wedded rocks (at Futamiokitama Shinto Shrine) is worth it even on a hot day! It was pouring  rain when we arrived early so the driver dropped us off a beautifully restored old traditional mansion set in a tranquil zen garden to wait for reception to open at 3pm. We only realised later it's only 3 houses away from the hotel so easily accessible bonus for Oishiya's guests ! The meals (dinner and breakfast was included) was exceptional and extensive with more than 5 courses, each one beautifully arranged in trays and in stunning pottery, served by the lovely and ever helpful  Yashyu Ohnishi in her immaculate kimono Dinner was attended in the Inn's provided kimono's which really added to the experience of Japanese culture we were looking for in a traditional Inn or Ryokan like this. The private Onsen (hot spring bath) was a great bonus for two shy westerners as was the slightly raised western beds in our beautiful tatami mat room with a view to the ocean and shoji screens (rather than curtains) to manage the light! It was by far the most pleasant and perfect stay in more than 30 years of travel internationally!

The room was huge, We were able to spread out quite comfortably and had ample space to organize our luggage. The room also had a small balcony that overlooked a river that had cherry blossom trees in bloom along it. Overall it was a very relaxing atmosphere. We had the breakfast included option and I was quite surprised at the portion size served. There were a couple days I couldn't finish it (though I don't usually have breakfast so my appetite might be a little small) but my partner seemed satisfied. Every morning was a different breakfast for us, which we appreciated. It was mainly Japanese style food with some Western touches. This ryokan is deep in the country in a small, quiet area. There are three or four onsens within walking distance, as well as a small hike with a view of the bay in the distance. There is a community center/onsen newly built about a 10 minute walk away with nice facilities and extremely cheap E-Bike rental. We had a lot of fun biking around the full bloom cherry blossom trees and small residential streets. I really enjoyed the onsen water here as well. It almost feels slippery and your skin and hair feel super smooth after bathing.

This is my favorite ryokan on this trip, unbeatable at the same price! A century-old hotel, a century-old building, a century-old style, clean and spacious rooms. One hundred years of experience and thoughtfulness can also be seen in the service of the clerk and the thick instructions on the table. But I didn't expect that the facilities and home appliances are very advanced, such as voice translators, handheld scanners, free washing machines and dryers in the store. The bathroom is clean, the hot spring is comfortable, and the location is next to the train station, super convenient!

cleaning and organization. I would really like to know the mystery. Upon entering the bathroom, there is a painting of a typical vessel from a specific region of Brazil. The boat is called a “jangada”. Due to my lack of Japanese knowledge, I was unable to ask them how they acquired this art. I was moved to see a piece from the region where I spent part of my childhood. Remembering that not every region of Brazil has one. Only this specific one, and it is becoming extinct due to new navigation methods. It is an old navigation method typical of a specific region of Brazil.
