This was the highlight of our journey around Japan. It is a beautiful, friendly and welcoming place in the countryside. The staff and owner are lovely and made us feel very welcome and at ease from the beginning. The quality of the food is excellent. The room was also comfortable and spacious with access to the beautiful onsen. We came here with our two children and found plenty to do nearby. You will need to use a combination of taxis and trains, but there is plenty in the local area.

On the shores of Lake Ashinoko, Hakone Hotel offers hot spring public baths, free property-wide WiFi, beautiful nature views and restaurants serving French cuisine and Teppanyaki dishes.

This is a really nice place for a relaxing get-away to explore Japanese onsen, beautiful views over the lake and mount Fuji and good, traditional Japanese food. The staff is super polite and friendly.

The hotel is well located, with a bus stop just in front, halfway from Hakone Yumoto Station and Motohakone-ko. The staff was very friendly and helpful during our stay.

AMAZING!!! Wonderful hotel with excellent infrastructure, service, food and quality rooms! I had a great time and wish I had planned for more days to enjoy the hotel fully and get to know the beautiful surroundings. The food was probably the best I had during our trip in Japan - if you stay in this Ryokan, I strongly advise you to take this option. Open air onsens were really nice and cosy. The Ryokan is really close to the train station, it was really easy to get there.

The hotel is simply amazing. The architecture is phenomenal, we stayed at the Forest Wing and it is completely beautiful and comfortable. The personnel service is also great, as well as the spa and restaurants.
