The waiters at dinner were particularly attentive and kind and the chef remembered my wife’s food intolerances from the original booking, so we were very impressed. We had a tatami style room and it was lovely of the staff to set up the futon whilst we had dinner. Like others have mentioned, the hotel is dated, but it is well maintained and very clean. The view from the rooms out to the sea is lovely and futon beds very comfortable. The food was excellent and service exceptional. We enjoyed using the onsen facilities and rocking round in our yakuta. The shuttle service from the port was also very handy. The hotel is right on the main walkway looking towards the water, so really easy to find from the ferry. It's. Beautiful traditional Ryokan with Tatami floors and futons and a public bath, which after a long day travelling or sightseeing was bliss! The staff were so friendly and helpful, with recommendations for dinner and helping us catch the bus to the beach for a cool off! Deers were roaming around freely outside. Dinner was a traditional Japanese meal with many courses, all lovely. While we had dinner our futons were laid out for us and they were very comfortable, we all slept very well. My daughter and I visited the on-site onsen which was spacious and had a very nice outlook. We loved wearing our Yukata’s for dinner and breakfast, made the whole experience very special.Guest review byKylieFamily with young children
