thank you for the patient and helpful staff. lovely and smooth bath and shower systems too. I wish I had more time there. Get to see monks and other events around the living hall which intrigues me and my respect. I felt safe and calm there.

There are a total of seven of us traveling by car in the Nagano and Nagaoka areas, and this is the only hotel that can accommodate 7 people. The host is very friendly and tried to communicate with us in slow Japanese and simple English. The room is big and clean, the air-conditioning facilities and bedding are also very comfortable. But be aware that there is only shared washrooms, and because of the covid, the onsen closes before 7:30, which means it will be difficult for you to take a shower after 7:30 (2022/08/05).

Traditional Ryokan with good location. Have been to this place two times already, 24h Onsen access, spacious rooms, and I really recommend the japanese breakfast & Kaiseki style Dinner! Tyler is a great and very helpful host. See you next time :)

Amazing dinner and breakfast. We had a private room for eating. The room was also very comfortable. We had everything we needed there, including hygiene products and clothes (yukata, socks). There was an indoor and exterior onsen, which were very clean and relaxing. The staff was very helpful and we were offered a ride to Togura Station after our stay. It is a bit expensive but worth it, I would like to return.

Fantastic Japanese half board menu in authentic Ryokan. We were spoilt with the attentive service and extent of traditional Japanese dishes provided by the hotel. Every meal felt like a feast.

the building is amazing. I loved all the art, all the corners, the garden with the koi, the private onsen for 1500¥ / 45 minutes. classical music is playing until 10pm. there’s unlimited coffee for free. fresh drinking water, tea, sweets and fresh flowers will wait for you every day in your room. the room we stayed in was spacious and had beautiful light. the staff was always professional, helpful and considerate. the snow monkey park is easily reachable by foot, and there’s are great cafe / restaurant (the farmhouse) very close, if you fancy some local beer and food.

Just wow, beautiful location, amazing food, the staff were lovely. Not sure you could find anything more traditional. A really awe inspiring experience. The onsen was soo beautiful. A shame that the men get the most time in the Momoyama section as it is jaw droppingly beautiful and would be so cool to watch the day break from there. Great that you can take photos in the morning before you depart. So atmospheric at night. Not touristy at all and full of locals. Scrub up on your Japanese before you go!
