Hotel staff were very accommodating and kind! My friend and I were picked up from the Tanzan shrine station where we were awaited with a driver. When we had to go home they also drove us to the station for free. The price for our room was very low and it was really clean and nice. We had a nice view of the mountains and the nature!

The service was impeccable from start to finish. The staff warm and welcoming. The dinner and breakfast were absolutely fantastic. The presentation of each was beyond expectation and all courses were delicious.

Wakasa Annex features an outdoor hot public bath and free WiFi. Other facilities include a 24-hour reception, drinks vending machines and free parking. Todai-ji Temple is only an 8-minute walk.

The host was very nice, she let us arrive early and greated us with tea, coffee and cakes. We had a lot of space to ourselves, including a japanese bath and a nice bedroom with comfy futons. Most of all, the homemade breakfasts (japanese style or occidental) were absolutely delicious and very generous. The location was quiet but close enough to walk to the park, temples and restaurants.

The accommodation facility of Gyokuzoin Temple features a hot public bath. The hotel is located in Mount Shigisan and houses a souvenir shop and drinks vending machines.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful, especially given its setting in the middle of the forest. The room itself was very spacious and exceptionally clean. The staff could not have been more kind and attentive, and the dinner that was provided was incredible. For those interested in seeing the deer, they can be found a short walk from the hotel (with some even found wandering just outside the grounds).

Excellent accomodation - service was superb and our private bath was exceptional. It was a highlight of our vacation.

A 10-minute drive from Kintetsu Nara Train Station on the hotel’s free shuttle, Mikasa offers open-air baths and a dining room with beautiful Nara views. On-site parking is free.

Amazing stay and a highlight of our trip! The room with a private bath was luxurious yet simple, with an amazing view of Nara. The included seasonal dinner and breakfast was a wonderful way to try some new Japanese foods. The shuttle bus to and from Nara was a nice addition, and all staff were so kind and helpful. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to experience onsen and ryokan while in Japan!

A great location to access all the sites of Nara - everything is a walkable distance. We enjoyed that the ryokan gave us a private time slot to use the on-site baths. Everything was incredibly clean. Staff was friendly and welcoming
