Hotel staff were very accommodating and kind! My friend and I were picked up from the Tanzan shrine station where we were awaited with a driver. When we had to go home they also drove us to the station for free. The price for our room was very low and it was really clean and nice. We had a nice view of the mountains and the nature!

Very luxurious Ryokan very close to the deer park which allowed us to explore the nicest area of Nara in the evening as well as early morning. The dinner was exceptional and they went above and beyond to meet dietary wishes. We had the room with private onsen which is definitely a recommendation! It was quite expensive but our best stay of the trip! The staff was very friendly too

exceptionally large & private space -- ie, the whole 2nd floor -- in a relatively simple & authentic ryokan ... with ample parking, laundry facilities & a quite tasty breakfast to boot. the sweet hostess (w/good english) is extremely accommodating & very kindly went out of her way to send my forgotten shoes on to one of our next hotels. a totally comfortable place to stay in a quiet neighborhood

All of it. The location in the woods is special - where else do you get to watch a bunch of flying squirrels scamper through the trees while you head to dinner? Relaxing in one of the private baths after a busy day pounding the pavement. The meals (breakfast and dinner) were sumptuous. We have travelled extensively and stayed in many amazing and interesting places - this one is near the very top of the list. For those looking for something truly different from your standard luxury hotel chain experience, this is it!

Excellent. Welcoming and friendly staff. Super clean, wonderful surroundings, so many beautiful touches. Fresh flowers! .The Onsen was great. Breakfast was magnificent. Brilliant location in Nara. Incredible views in the room, and we had a delicious kaiseki meal. Staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay! Their office in the centre of Nara is extremely helpful, and you can store your luggage there prior to your stay and wander around town leisurely

The environment and atmosphere was super good. The owners were very friendly and introduced the area and gave us guides on the area. The public bath was clean and good with a very good view for the outdoor area.
