The family room was spacious. Loved the interactive art in the main corridor - a great way to spark conversations with other guests (even with language barriers). It’s a big hotel but very traditional Japanese. Other first rate onsens nearby. Half board was very good (nowhere else to eat nearby). Shinkansen stops at Tazawako close by so easy to access. The rooms are spacious and we had a separate dining area opposite our room. It is a traditional Japanese hotel with futon beds and kaiseki dinner plus a Japanese breakfast.
