Baths are like something from a dream - perfect temperature, beautiful views, the outdoor bath in the snow was particularly incredible. Staff are also extremely friendly and many native English speakers are employed for those who can’t speak Japanese.

Everything!! Superbbbb services from all staffs🙌, great facilities, yummy breakfast in Japanese style. The room is clean and big, also has a very big screen TV with Nintendo famicom!! The owner was very nice and helpful, he speaks English very well, he showed us all facilities in the ryokan, so so impressed with his service. The ryokan also has a shuttle service to the bus station. I would give 100 score out of 10 to this ryokan.

First thing we noticed was the big room compared to other hotels with a comfortable bed. The staff were excellent when we checked in and when we got our breakfast which was quite nice as well (although felt a bit high in sugar/carbohydrates). The public bath was very nice, the water was very hot compared to other hotels but enjoyable. The hotel is also located directly next to the bus station and above a supermarket and nearby all the sights.

Situated next to Saikonawara Park and a short walk to Yubatake, the hotel is perfectly situated. It’s much smaller and intimate than other hotels in the area, but it only adds to the charm. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The hotel has its own hot springs to bathe in at your leisure. Traditional yukata are provided for you and you are encouraged to wear them. Miki (the host) is such a lovely woman. She is gracious and welcoming, and very excited to have you there. While I did not opt in to have the breakfast or dinner at the hotel, there are many options in the small town that you can find by wandering through the streets.

The sulphur onsen. The place is high up in the mountains and is very relaxing and chill. The outdoor bath located a little way away from the main building provides a nice view and a nice hot soak. The buffet style meals are tasty and there are a wide variety to choose from.
