Experience culture authentically with a stay at this traditional Japanese-style accommodation. Sleep on the floor (on a futon roll) in a room furnished with tatami flooring and sliding doors. Guests can often expect access to a communal bath plus a complimentary Japanese garment called a yukata.
If you like slightly tired 50's or maybe 60's Onsen then this is the place for you - I do.
A bit out of town but affordable 🚕 taxi ride. There is a courtesy bus & one of the staff organised that for me to get back into town.. You could probably organise pick up as well if you were organised.
Dinner and breakfast were both great in very Onsen way. No western options and no choice. You get what they are serving. Normal in an Onsen. The baths have a great view.
