We had half board n the food for bothdiner n bf was so good n sumptuous. The charges were well worth and location was so convenient that is just at the beginning of oirase gorge.

Located at the foot of Mount Hakkoda, Hotel Jogakura provides mountain resort accommodation boasting natural hot spring baths, saunas and gorgeous Japanese meals. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property, and ski equipment rentals can be arranged. It’s such a beautiful hotel nestled in the foothills of the Hakkoda mountain. I really enjoyed the traditional Japanese room which was beautifully prepared. The food also is exceptional, and the hotel offers free shuttle busses to Aomori city, the ropeway station and other nearby sites, as well as having ski rentals available. It’s just lovely!

Only a 2-minute walk from JR Aomori Train Station, Iroha Ryokan offers simple Japanese-style rooms with a flat-screen TV. Japanese Yukata robes are provided for all guests and free parking is available. I was looking for a little bit of a different experience and that's what I got at Iroha Ryokan. The staff lady we interacted with was extremely sweet and spoke a little of English which was super helpful. The room wasn't big but was packed with so much charm.
