Dinner and breakfast are amazing and plentiful, with locally sourced organic produce (even coffee!). Our room (Japanese room with private toilet) was to the left of the entrance. It was very spacious. The heater worked very well as autumn night was a bit damp and cold. The beds are futons on wood bed frames on tatami, and they are super comfortable. As I have a whole-leg tattoo which is usually not permitted in the public baths, I notified Ranko in advance, and she reserved the private bath for us. The private bath was a very beautiful blue ceramic bath filled with warm (I don’t think it’s very hot) healing hot spring water from the area. Ranko’s warm personality really made the stay memorable. Be sure to ask her for recommendations of the areas. She is a well of knowledge of the area!

Located in the Asamushi Onsen district of Aomori, Kaisenkaku is 19 km from Sannai-Maruyama site and 2 km from Asamushi Aquarium. We like the Japanese style breakfast.

Very clean rooms and probably one of the best mattresses (western style bed) i've ever slept on. 3 private onsens available, one of which is outdoors but without much of a view so you have privacy. Perhaps consider checking in a bit earlier because the private onsens are quite popular. Fantastic location right near the beach. Our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer.

Located at the foot of Mount Hakkoda, Hotel Jogakura provides mountain resort accommodation boasting natural hot spring baths, saunas and gorgeous Japanese meals. Everything was amazing: hotel, staff, food, location. Just 10/10!

Only a 2-minute walk from JR Aomori Train Station, Iroha Ryokan offers simple Japanese-style rooms with a flat-screen TV. Great location and very clean.

Kobori Ryokan nằm ở Hirosaki, cách Di tích Sannai-Maruyama 37 km và Lâu đài Hirosaki 16 phút đi bộ. Extremely clean traditional ryokan. Almost no english spoken, but this makes the experience even better. Excellent location for visiting Hirosaki castle.
