Overlooking picturesque Kawaguchi Lake in the serene Mount Fuji area, Rakuyu boasts comfortable guest rooms and natural hot spring baths. Free Wi-Fi is provided in the public area. Nice lake view and quiet location. Room is clean, comfortable and large space. Public Onsen is nice too. Hotel provides bar to have some drink but it is mormally close at 7 am so I did not have chance to come back on time so if hotel can close the bar more lately it should be nice.

The staff is very friendly and kind. The room is clean and very cozy. Peacefully situated on the shore of Lake Kawaguchi in the scenic Mount Fuji area, Japanese-style hot spring hotel Kasuitei Ooya features rooms with stunning lake views, some boasting a private... The location was perfect, right along Lake Kawaguchi. The room size was big and we loved the Japanese style doors to the bedroom. The private open air hot tub facing the lake was spectacular. Would stay here again!

Boasting views of Mount Fuji and Lake Kawaguchi for all rooms and hot-spring baths, Hotel Asafuji provides air-conditioned Japanese-style rooms with a green tea set. Service was the best. Food was excellent. Very recommended

Just 250 metres from Zenko-ji Temple, Matsuya Ryokan offers simple Japanese rooms with tatami-mat floors, a green-tea maker and an attached Western bathroom. The hotel features public baths. Amazing location with good Japanese traditional experience. Love the vibe.

Ryokan Asunaro: A Traditional Japanese Inn in Takayama. Nestled just a 6-minute walk from Takayama Station and the Nohi Bus Center, Ryokan Asunaro offers an authentic Japanese inn experience. We spent Christmas Day here. Very traditional, clean and welcoming. The photos on Booking.com did not do this place justice. Staff were helpful, and offered advice about the local market. How to use the Onsen and etiquette about shoes/slippers and provided traditional wear whilst staying at the Ryoken everyone wore them, regardless of nationality, which made the evening meal very special. The 13 course dinner was really a whole experience that we won’t forget. We opted for the Japanese breakfast, again beautifully presented with a lot of food. All food was produced locally which was great too. Lots of art and historical pieces to browse and staff happy to talk you through. Rooms were comfortable clean and traditional. We had room 311 which was a family room with a bedroom and matted area where futons were laid out for additional guests. The room was large enough for us to accommodate 6 adults for after dinner drinks. Was really close to the train and bus station and we caught the ski shuttle bus and went skiing for the day. Very much one of the best parts of our stay.

Just a 2-minute walk from Takayama Station, Oyado Koto No Yume offers Japanese-style rooms with a colourful touch. The location is really near the train station so it was perfect for us since we arrived by train. The breakfast was delicious, we took the traditional one and there were so many good things to try. The staff was the best, they even helped us to put on our yukata (they lend you one when you arrive there and they prepared it in a beautiful bag). They also prepared the room for us with the special mattress for the tatami while we went to take dinner. We tried the private hot tube and it was very relaxing. They also kept the luggage for us before the check-in and after the check-out so we could go arround without problems.

Luxurious ryokan Fuji Onsenji Yumedono is located just 500 metres from Lake Kawaguchiko. Location: Very close to the city center, compared with the few 5-star hotels in the same region which are more difficult to get to. Easy taxi ride from Kawaguchiko train station; hotel provides a free pickup upon arrival. Without luggage, one can easily bike between the hotel and the train station. Within walking distance (just walk over the Kawaguchiko Bridge) to Ubuyagasaki Shrine which is a top venue to watch the Fuji Mountain during sunrise. Room: Comfortable and luxurious; newly remodeled with modern facilities yet preserves the traditional Japanese onsen styles. Particularly impressed by the bathroom, indoor bath, and the private outdoor hot tub! Privacy: This onsen pays great attention to offering privacy to guests. Not only did the rooms feel this way, check-in and checkout as well as the breakfast experience were all private. Breakfast: More than amazing!!!
