The host and staff are so friendly and made us feel very welcome. The house itself is lovely, an old renovated farm house, with plenty of space and a stunning view of the surrounding mountains. There is a small independent cafe attached which is not to be missed - amazing coffee and, again, the owner is just lovely. I would recommend traveling by car but the roads are easy to navigate, there is good parking and so much to do in the area (from hiking to canyoning and kayaking; and larger cities such as Matsuyama, and slightly further, Kochi, are not too far away - we even went into town by car one evening for the famous Dogo Onsen). All in all, not to be missed!
