We had dinner and breakfast at the property. Both were excellent. So easy to reach by bus. So convenient to the temple. Kind and friendly staff. It was heaven!

越前あわら温泉 つるや localiza-se em Awara, a 20 km de Phoenix Plaza e a 21 km de Fukui International Activities Plaza. The service and the attention to the details were exceptional. Staff were trained so well and professionally did their part (job). It was if everyone knew exactly what our needs were at the exact time.

Getting there was very easy and easily accessible by a direct bullet train from Tokyo and then just bussing it up - they also have coaches available to take you to and from the JR station if requested. The room was amazingly clean and big - the food as well was very nice especially for a ryokan where the food can sometimes be a hit and miss. The public onsens were also very nice with amenities and drinks everywhere. The most impressive thing about our stay was definitely the service - everyone is very nice - we had Akira, who looked after us most and he was extremely kind and attentive during our stay. I usually dont think it makes a very large difference but this was something else. Last thing is we came on a Mon/Tues - which seems to be the quietest time for them, with maybe seeing around 6 or 7 other groups in total hanging around on Monday and a bit more on Tuesday - which we liked as the public onsens were basically empty if you came in the off peak times and the whole place was very quiet. Though there are alot of facilities catering for larger crowds inside the onsen and outside so if you do want a bit of atmosphere I would reccommend booking closer to the weekend. All in all our stay here was very nice and would definitely reccommend.

Food was good. Lounge was good. Food was good. Nothing to complain. Only thing if they have coin laundry will do wonders for me.

民宿上田屋 localiza-se em Obama, a 41 km de Kongoin Temple, e fornece acomodações com um jardim, estacionamento privado gratuito e um restaurante. It was a really nice place. I arrived late because I had some sightseeing to do, but I enjoyed the tatami room, bath, and breakfast. The staff were very friendly, and the area is surrounded by woods and ocean. Fukui is a very special area that not many people see, so I recommend visiting it if you get the chance.

湖上館パムコ encontra-se em Wakasa, a 30 km de Estação Ferroviáriac de Obama, e apresenta acomodações com um terraço, estacionamento privado gratuito e um restaurante. The location was amazing, the staff was so super nice and the kayak tour was such a great experience. We would recommend this to everybody looking to in the area. In the end we could even ride their rental bikes along the lakes to the train station and drop them off there. Thank you so much for the wonderful time :))

No meio do magnífico jardim com lago de carpas, o Haiya Hotel, de estilo japonês, apresenta banhos termais, saunas de pedra japonesa e salas de karaoke. Haiya Ryokan Hotel is an exceptional property. Its beautiful and traditional facility is complimented by the exceptional service from all staff. The rooms are quiet, very clean and elegant. Most enjoyable is the Onsen bath. I would highly recommend.
