The food (dinner and breakfast) was exceptional and homemade. The staff was so nice! We had the whole place to ourselves; it was perfect. We tried the meditation experience and received a tour of the temple. It was a truly unique experience. Everything was perfect. It was the last night of our trip; we could not have hoped for anything better. Thank you so much! We wished we had stayed longer.

The units in the ryokan are fitted with a kettle. There is a private bathroom with bidet in some units, along with slippers, a hair dryer and free toiletries. All units will provide guests with air conditioning, a safety deposit box and a flat-screen TV. The hotel was a lovely quiet Oasis from the crowded streets of Kusatsu. Our host was so lovely, friendly and helpful. She spoke fluent English and was able to explain the intricacies of Onsen. We had a lovely view from our room. The beds were lovely, soft and warm with the outside temperature dropping to 1deg C. Highly recommend for a stay. The home made puddings were amazing!

The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was clean, simple, and comfortable, and our private onsen was a highlight! The multi-course dinner and breakfast service were absolutely fantastic as well. We took advantage of the free shuttle service to and from Minakami Station, which was also easy to navigate. This was the perfect quiet and relaxing escape during our honeymoon!
