Guests who check-in before 18:00 will receive complimentary welcome sweets. Every room at this ryokan is air conditioned and comes with a TV. At a convenient location outside the busy Yubatake area. The staff are very lovely, patient and kind. The place is well kept. The welcome sweets and breakfast are unique and delicious.

The ladies that greeted us were so adorable, the room vas spacious and very clean. We could choose the color of yukata and we could go to town and public onsens in it, also had baskets for towels. Breakfast is another experience in privet room that has a view on small garden. And charming older lady serves breakfast with many delicious thing in small plates. location for us vas perfect, ryokan is close to the Otaki no yu onsen, which we loved the most, and to Yubatake is 13 minutes walk.

This 4-star ryokan offers a lift and luggage storage space. The ryokan features family rooms. What an amazing stay in such a historic ryokan. It is the oldest ryokan in Japan, so, as you can expect, there will be some signs of age in the common areas/hallways. However, our rooms were modern and the hospitality and meals were absolutely 5*!! Loved it.

A wooden building stemming from 100 years ago, the property breathes a historical atmosphere. The Houshi Onsen Chojukan is a magical place that offers scenic views and beautiful walking trails in the surrounding area. The staff members are incredibly lovely and truly elevated our stay there. The food was amazing, and we couldn't get enough of the onsens.
