The units are equipped with heating facilities. I was told that this hotel was recently reformed. Lucky us, it's totally new. The lobby is just like a mini museum. Breakfast is strongly recommended. If you like nature and tranquility, this hotel is surrounded by rice field and it's on top of a little hill that provides a very nice view. We came here by bus. At the bus stop, there is a convenience store to buy drinks and food, cause there are no restaurant in this country side, although you can reserve dinner in the hotel. Then from the bus stop, it's a 10 minute walk to the hotel. Everything was just beautiful and tranquid. We really enjoyed our stay. Walking through the rice field to visit the famous Chūson-ji was our favorite day trip.

Tsuchihatakozan
Fulsato features a hot spring bath and free private parking, and is within 16 km of Shigarai Ski Area and 44 km of Kitakami Station. The property has mountain and river views. The ryokan features family rooms. My wife & I stayed at Fulsato for one night on a Tohoku ski trip driving from Geto Kogen to Tazawako. We’ve stayed at many Ryokan on our trips to Japan and this was likely the best one. From the moment we arrived the staff was so kind and helpful. We got a room overlooking the river with our own private bath in the balcony. The other public baths were nice esp the outdoor one. The room was well thought out and immaculately clean. The best part was the food! Both the dinner and breakfast were kaiseki style and the presentation and flavors were amazing. The price was higher than we usually pay but it felt like a total value.

Very easy to find, they even hung a plate with my name on the door. I could basically use the entire second floor. The owner took me by car to a dinner place, the hot springs and to the train station. Very kind! Breakfast was very generous as well.
Very good service and infrastructure! The hotel had a great onsen with sauna etc. Really good! The room was nice and correct for this category! The people were super friendly and helpful! I would really recommend this hotel
Very friendly staff, nice onsen on-site. Clean room, we only stayed one night, they also offer lots for breakfast.
Great price-quality relationship. The hotel is well equipped, the staff was very polite and helpful even if they did not speak English, and the location is handy as there are several restaurants and supermarkets nearby. It was nice to have the onsen, which is large enough for the amount of people we have seen.
This Dormy Inn is more than the basic business hotel. You have the usual clean (for one person in even quite spacious) room, but on top of that there is so much more. You have the rooftop onsen, after which you get an ice cream, and there are free ramen if you feel like a midnight snack.
Five star service in a five star ryokan. Worth the price. Free yukata with different sizes and design available for guests. Very peaceful ryokan. Wish we could stay longer to explore the surrounding nature. Kaiseki dinner and breakfast was amazing. Staff was so attentive to our requests and took the time asking about our dietary requirements. Massage chairs available for guests to use. Loved the Indoor and outdoor public bath. Highly recommended for those who wants a luxury ryokan experience.
Small Ryokan. Well located near the sea. Excellent food. Nice room and wonderful Onsen on the roof with a sea-view. on the evening, we listened to the Lady owner telling us her own story surviving the 2011 tsunami and helping dozen of people the following days. Her story was really emotional and she is a true heroine. I am glad we met her and I am very happy to spend one night in this hotel to help local economy.
Everything. The host was very friendly and warm welcome. Large room, classic japanese, and comfortable beds (Tatami plus futon, what more do you need?). Close to sightseeing spots. Excellent chef, breakfast was majestic. I wish could have stayed longer. Feel like family, suitable for those who miss their hometown lol
Traditional style accommodation, gives you the chance to sleep in a futon on the tatami, wear a yukata, and utilise shared bathroom facility, or sento. It is worth the experience 😊 it's reasonably close to Hiraizumi station (about 10 minutes walk) and the host very kindly tried to accomodate for my vegan requirements for breakfast. Bathroom and toilets were clean.
Central location, 7 minutes walk from the station. really good value for the $$$ - staff was extremely helpful, we had alll the amenities in the room (yukata, toiletries, slippers). There is a washing room and a really nice onsen! Hotel provides free noodles and ice cream!
