My wife & I stayed at Fulsato for one night on a Tohoku ski trip driving from Geto Kogen to Tazawako. We’ve stayed at many Ryokan on our trips to Japan and this was likely the best one. From the moment we arrived the staff was so kind and helpful. We got a room overlooking the river with our own private bath in the balcony. The other public baths were nice esp the outdoor one. The room was well thought out and immaculately clean. The best part was the food! Both the dinner and breakfast were kaiseki style and the presentation and flavors were amazing. The price was higher than we usually pay but it felt like a total value.

Transportation: needed to schedule the shuttle every day, e.g., when to go to the ski, when to return, when to pick up from train station, when to depart, etc. Very close to the ski resort. Less than 15 minutes on foot. Two private and one public hot spring!!!! This is really my favourite part. Beautiful place! There's an area selling cup noodles, daily necessities, and souvenir. We live in a room for 4-5 people. spacious. large window. Beautiful view. Indoor clothing provided. Great renovation and decoration. Professional staff.
