Comfortable Accommodations: Onsen Guest House Tsutaya in Hakone offers comfortable rooms with private bathrooms, air conditioning, and mountain views. Everything was perfect! The capsule was very spacious and comfortable. The best one in whole Japan. The design of the Onsen and the whole Guesthouse in general is very cute and would love to go back.

Featuring a terrace with views of Lake Ashi, Hakone・Ashinoko Hanaori offers a soothing hot spring bath and sauna. The property is situated a 2-minute walk from Togendai Station on Hakone Ropeway. Excellent location with beautiful views and easy access to rope way/ bus stops/ cruise ships. Foot bath in front of mountain view is very enjoyable, staff will kindly offer to help take pictures. Male/Female Onsen will rotate and change locations at night and day for different views and facilities. Both the dinner and breakfast buffet were terrific with the range of food provided, especially the soft serve machine and appetizers at dinner; staff were all very attentive despite the big amount of people at dining time. Shuttle bus service is also very convenient for travels to/from Odawara station.

Opened in April 2017, Hakone Kowakien Tenyu offers Japanese-style rooms with tatami flooring, an open-air bath or ceramic open-air hot springs bath made with Shigaraki pottery. Everything is awesome. Great view, well maintained property, beautiful landscape and garden, wide selection for dinner and breakfast, food is top notch and generous. Staff are well trained and professional.

Boasting rare nigori-yu milky water hot spring baths and , Mount View Hakone offers Japanese-style rooms and Japanese delicacies. All in all probably the best place we were in while traveling in Japan. You get yukata to walk around, very peaceful environment in the middle of the mountains, super friendly staff, room was spacious and clean. We had breakfast + dinner combo, which was typical Kaiseki with many different things. Just be prepared - it's A LOT of food (both). We skipped lunch while we stayed there. We tried one of the private onsen which was one of the best we tried. Room had a toilet but no bathroom, so you shower in the public onsen (typical of Ryokan w/ onsen for the unware). There's a Lawson super close, which is handy.

It was special. I had the steak set as I don't like seafood that much. Trust me when I say this, but you will not walk away hungry. Also, it is best not to eat before dinner. Opened in 1878, The Fujiya Hotel features Meiji Era architecture set in Hakone’s natural beauty. Excellent amenities and services. We were also offered an upgrade to an apartment from our room. We were travelling a lot and use the room only to sleep, bath and relax a little bit after long days. So we have no clue about the restaurants. The parking is sufficient and the hotel is well placed to make trips in the surroundings. We felt very well treated.

Beautiful hotel, highly recommend for few days of solitude and relaxation. Location is way better than Motohakone and less crowded. Amazing view from the room, used the Onsen 6 times and every time I was the only one there, so it felt basically private.

Dai was an incredibly friendly and helpful host who made us feel right at home. This was by far the best place we stayed during our three-week Japan trip! The beds were super comfortable, and we loved wearing the yukata. The onsen at the homestay was relaxing, and Dai’s breakfast was simple yet delicious. A special touch was the homemade soy milk brownies he served upon arrival — such a thoughtful gesture! Overall, we really enjoyed our time here and would love to return. 🥰❤️
