Kusatsu Onsen Eidaya is located in Kusatsu. The property is a 10-minute walk from Kusatsu Yubatake and Kusatsu-Onsen Bus Terminal. Guests can find a private hot spring bath and Japanese restaurant on site.

At the ryokan, all rooms include a flat-screen TV, fridge and wardrobe. Certain rooms feature in-room hot spring bath, while some rooms offer a kitchen with a microwave. The breakfast was traditional Japanese, very healthy & plentiful. There were a few items I didn’t eat though my husband ate everything. Taz’s mother waitressed ( at the age of 87!) & was always smiling & helpful. 3 small onsens - enough for couples. My husband’s aches & pains disappeared after a dip. Easy walk to centre of town & lovely park. On a weekend both areas are lit up. The park is particularly beautiful.

Opened in April 2017, Hakone Kowakien Tenyu offers Japanese-style rooms with tatami flooring, an open-air bath or ceramic open-air hot springs bath made with Shigaraki pottery. The property boasts views of Tonomine, Myojogatake and Mount Asama. Free WiFi is available throughout the property. The service is exceptional and remarkable, almost as exceptional and remarkable as the natural beauty of the place and the quality of the facilities.

Air-conditioned rooms feature a tatami (woven-straw) floor, on which traditional futon bedding is spread to sleep in. Amenities include an LCD TV, fridge, a safe and yukata robes. All rooms have a private toilet and washbasin, while bathroom facilities are shared. Green tea sets with snacks are provided. Family onsen rooms are a pleasant surprise to us. It allowed us to shower and onsen as a family. The restaurant staff were all so friendly and kind, and they always prepared baby chair and baby bowl and utensils for our toddler. The location is convenient as there is a combini nearby for snacks - the hotel has its own shop too. The room was spacious, though unlike other Ryokans I've stayed at, the mattresses didn't get put away during the day - no biggie though as we didn't spend much time in the room during the day.

A 2-minute walk from Sendagi Subway Station, Japanese-style hotel Annex Katsutaro Ryokan features rooms with traditional tatami (woven-straw) flooring and free Wi-Fi internet.

The air-conditioned rooms at Ryokan Annex Katsutaro feature Japanese futon bedding, and each has a TV and fridge. The attached bathroom includes a bathtub. The couple running this place is very welcoming and the space is spotless. You are not in the centre, but a quaint local neighbourhood with an amazing bakery and 2 train stations are in an easy walking distance. They also organised for my suitcase to be transported to Kyoto for a set date, which was just amazing.
