Comfortable Accommodations: Onsen Guest House Tsutaya in Hakone offers comfortable rooms with private bathrooms, air conditioning, and mountain views. We had a blast. The place was clean and beautiful, the staff was kind and helpful. We stayed in the traditional room with a stunning view. The onsen was so much fun, both the indoor and otdoor. I can only recommend it.

The reviews didn't lie. It was really a great experience to stay in traditional Japanese guest house. My fiancee was also lucky to be able to try on a traditional wedding dress as the lady got known we were on our pre-honeymoon. Althogh I was a bit sceptical about the location, my worries went away as there like 3 metro lines nearby and a lot of food options of course. Just take into account that bathrooms are shared in such guest house and you really sleep on tatami/futon. Go for it. We also enjoyed a traditional Japanese kaiseki breakfast which myself enjoyed a lot.

Kusatsu Onsen Eidaya is located in Kusatsu. The property is a 10-minute walk from Kusatsu Yubatake and Kusatsu-Onsen Bus Terminal. The private onsen was perfect.

Boasting rare nigori-yu milky water hot spring baths and , Mount View Hakone offers Japanese-style rooms and Japanese delicacies. Everything was amazing. The stuff was very helpful and friendly. The rooms were very spacious, they were ryokan style rooms with everything you need. We tried private onsens and it is highly recommended. The best part is definitely breakfast and dinner. It is like kaiseki style with all the seasonal ingredients. You must definitely experience it! Location was also great. We'd definitely like to come back again.

We had the traditional room which was very ample and comfortable. We enjoyed having the possibility to have breakfast (with different great options). Personal speak perfect English and are very helpful in answering our questions

Opened in 1878, The Fujiya Hotel features Meiji Era architecture set in Hakone’s natural beauty. Excellent amenities and services. We were also offered an upgrade to an apartment from our room. We were travelling a lot and use the room only to sleep, bath and relax a little bit after long days. So we have no clue about the restaurants. The parking is sufficient and the hotel is well placed to make trips in the surroundings. We felt very well treated.

A 2-minute walk from Sendagi Subway Station, Japanese-style hotel Annex Katsutaro Ryokan features rooms with traditional tatami (woven-straw) flooring and free Wi-Fi internet. This is my third visit to this Ryokan in 10 years and I'm sure I will be back. Love the rooms, the location, the staff.

Situated in the Asakusa area, Ryokan Asakusa Shigetsu has a history of 70 years. The accommodation boasts a view of the Tokyo Skytree from its Hinoki wood bath. Everything was great, amazing hospitality, perfect location. Very clean
