This place was waaaay better than I imagined, the pictures and the description on booking.com do not do justice to how amazing and lovely this place is; perfect location with the most gorgeous view, homely environment with the most exciting entertainment stuff in the lounge (you could spend days there with books and mangas and games and even just the view) Incredible staff with fluent English, friendly and helpful, everything provided generously, unimaginably clean! and both indoor and outdoor onsens are just heavenly! I couldn't have wished for a better place

Kusatsu Onsen Eidaya is located in Kusatsu. The property is a 10-minute walk from Kusatsu Yubatake and Kusatsu-Onsen Bus Terminal. Everything! Charming little hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Staff speaks English which is very nice! Spacious and beautiful room with comfortable futons and even a Super Nintendo with a big screen connected. Private onsens free to use, 24hrs, no reservation of timeslots thankfully, just walk in when the door is open. We got a complimentary bottle of milk on check-in. Cool game room with massage chair, arcade, games, and feet massagers, very welcome after all the walking we had been doing (ohhhh Japan). We really loved this place!

Opened in April 2017, Hakone Kowakien Tenyu offers Japanese-style rooms with tatami flooring, an open-air bath or ceramic open-air hot springs bath made with Shigaraki pottery. Amazing breakfast. Onsens were heaven.

Boasting rare nigori-yu milky water hot spring baths and , Mount View Hakone offers Japanese-style rooms and Japanese delicacies. Good location & quiet room & sanitation. And morning&dinner restaurant were also good. Although I'm not fluent in Japanese, they help us so kindly. 　I am first at Hakone. I'm really falling for Hakone's peaceful atmosphere. Thanks to them, (One of them name is 'Liang' maybe, and her colleague; I heard from other colleague, next day). I was able to see Mt. Huji. , and it was memorable. It's all thanks to them. Routes, Bus-location, Bus-timetable, all of them can not be made without your helps. May all your futures be shiny. 🥰🥰

Good A/C and lights as well as futon, tea, etc. Everything you need in a japanese style room. Showers were also good and spacious. The personnel were very kind and made me feel at my own home. It's a calm neighborhood, away from Shibuya craziness but also very close by transport thanks to JR Yamanote Line and Subway Asakusa Line in Gotanda Station. This property is also close to Osaki Station. This means a faster trip to Yokohama for example if you have JR Pass. By Osaki Station it's just one JR train in the JR Shonan-Shinjuku Line gets you to Yokohama in 20 minutes in the Special Rapid Train (pay attention not to get the Local or Rapid services as they are a bit slower).
