Kyoto Station is a 15-minute drive from this property. The location was quiet and out of town, but not too far away. The matts and bedding were very comfortable. The rooftop bath was fun. The room was big. There is a good coffee shop close by.

The service from hotel personnel was outstanding and they did their best to make us feel comfortable and also they were extremely helpful when we ask for support and questions. Also, the snacks, coffee and tea offered by the hotel after 5 pm was nice and we loved it.

Facing the central shopping street of the Kinosaki Onsen hot spring area, Morizuya offers authentic Japanese-style accommodation, hot spring baths and Japanese dining. Guests can wear colourful yukata robes at the property. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout. The property is absolutely gorgeous, we had the traditional Japanese room which was spacious, clean and very beautiful. The host greeted us, explained everything in great detail, took some pictures and then we were invited to a tea ceremony that was hosted by his mother. I would definitely book the room again - probably the best experience in our Japan trip.

Rooms feature tatami-mat flooring, comfortable futon bedding and paper sliding screens. They are fitted with an LCD TV and a safe. Bathroom facilities are shared, and the public baths are open 16:00-22:00 and 06:00-09:00 daily. Amazing place to stay, extremely recommended. A really great experience in general - I stayed in one of the suites and could not have asked for a more relaxing and peaceful place to stay, only a short walk from Okunoin Cemetary and an easy walk to the rest of town. Very close to the bus stop from Koyasan Station. Staff were always helpful and the meals were unbelievably delicious and satisfying, even though I needed to ask for a soy-free modification. The best food I ate during my stay!

Founded in the 12th century and beloved by Junichiro Tanizaki and other Japanese novelists, Tosen Goshobo is the oldest of the hot-spring inns at Arima. Standing beside the Taki River, it features outdoor hot-spring baths and traditional in-room meals and is a 5-minute walk from Arima Onsen Train Station. The Japanese rooms have traditional futon bedding and a minibar. We had a wonderful and relaxing stay at Tocen Goshobo. It was just a few minutes walk away from the bus stops. The onsen bath was atmospheric and the temperature felt just right (not too hot even for inexperienced bathers). The staff was wonderfully welcoming, the room lovely and the futon beds extra comfortable. The Arima onsen village was bigger than we expected, several dinner options (we opted for only breakfast (was superb!) at the Tocen Goshobo).

Seikoro Ryokan is located in Kyoto, a 7-minute drive from JR Kyoto Station. Featuring traditional Japanese-style accommodation, it offers a public bath and massage services. Free Wi-Fi access is available at the entire property. The staff is super kind and helpful, the property is very pretty and everything is very typical. There are two onsens available for the guests (a male one and another for women) with very good conditions. We could opt from a japanese breakfast and a continental breakfast, so we chose the first one. Super complete and with a lot of dishes, if you haven’t tried and are ok with trying different food types, you definitely should go for the japanese breakfast. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable.
