Kyoto Station is a 15-minute drive from this property. We loved our stay! The room was so nice with tatami flooring and traditional aesthetics. The bathroom was great too! The location was as expected - quieter and away from the central bits of Kyoto, but there are various things to do nearby the hotel, and it was easy to get to with bus. The housekeeping team were very friendly! The male staff member on site who helped us with check-in and check-out was super polite and helpful! Him and the other male staff member also helped us send our luggage to the next city we’re staying in 😊

Massage service is also provided at a surcharge. Luggage storage is offered, while laundry service is offered at an additional charge. Everyone was so nice. We really appreciated getting walked through the onsen etiquette and what to know for our stay in general when we checked in. The onsen was so relaxing including different pools and sauna and liked that the men and women switch each day and they have long hours so got to experience both. Loved the yukatas! Recommend getting a massage and including food.

Thank you for organising such interesting activities like the kimono course. I loved the entire stay!!

Facing the central shopping street of the Kinosaki Onsen hot spring area, Morizuya offers authentic Japanese-style accommodation, hot spring baths and Japanese dining. Guests can wear colourful yukata robes at the property. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout. Place was cool, traditional style ryokan with lovely staff and great location. They really went to extreme to ensure that we reach the best Kinosaki-experience. I forgot my ring, noticed it in the bus station and accepted my faith. However, they had noticed my ring and rushed to the bus to bring it to me - this is an example of their heartfelt attirude towards guests

Rooms feature tatami-mat flooring, comfortable futon bedding and paper sliding screens. They are fitted with an LCD TV and a safe. Bathroom facilities are shared, and the public baths are open 16:00-22:00 and 06:00-09:00 daily. The staff is very helpful and nice. The fire ritual is a great experience. The dinner is fantastic.

Some units in the ryokan have private entrance and are equipped with wardrobe and tatami. Units are complete with a private bathroom, while certain units at the ryokan also provide guests with a seating area. The hotel is so beautiful and peaceful you almost don't want to leave. The staff were very welcoming and made us feel at home. We had the shabu shabu dinner and 2 Japanese style breakfasts which were cooked right in front of us by the lovely staff who we really enjoyed talking to. The location was only a 10 minute walk from Kyoto station but in a relatively quiet location, which was very much appreciated after the busy tourist spots of Kyoto. I couldn't recommend this hotel enough and we will definitely be returning if we are ever in Kyoto again.

At the ryokan, each unit comes with a tatami and a TV. At the ryokan, all units have a shared bathroom with slippers and free toiletries. It was the best four days in my three weeks visiting in Japan. This ryokan is very cosy. Though everything looked authentic and traditional all the facilities weren't old, but instead very clean an modern. The breakfast was very tasty and there was variety each day. If you don't take the cable car (station is right next to the ryokan) you'll get a good workout each day, when you explore the surroundings - mainly the beautiful temples. There are many stairs! After a day of waking, relaxing in the onsen was the highlight of my day. But the best thing was the very friendly owner and staff. Even though I couldn't speak Japanese they helped me with everything and were really caring. I will definitely be back! :)
