The location was convenient, the room was wonderful (and much larger than it appeared in the pictures), and the futon beds were comfortable. We also appreciated the helpful and accommodating staff, and enjoyed relaxing in the onsen. We would absolutely stay here again.

Situated a 10-minute walk from lively Kawaramachi area, Kyomachiya Ryokan Sakura Urushitei offers Japanese-style accommodation with modern facilities and traditional design. It provides a tour desk and a bar on the ground floor. Free WiFi is available in all areas. Super nice staff that were helpful and greeted us! such a nice experience. I would recommend this place to anyone staying in Kyoto. The Location was also in a quiet neighboorhood, which wasn't too far away from attractions and stuff.

Seikoro Ryokan is located in Kyoto, a 7-minute drive from JR Kyoto Station. Featuring traditional Japanese-style accommodation, it offers a public bath and massage services. Free Wi-Fi access is available at the entire property. The special Japanese atmosphere is one of a kind, it is not a luxurious hotel, but everything is well organized and elegant, we were treated with polite staff and very comfortable service, we are happy and satisfied with the amazing living/ onsen experience in Seikoro Kyoto. Will consider this place again in the future.

Some units in the ryokan have private entrance and are equipped with wardrobe and tatami. Units are complete with a private bathroom, while certain units at the ryokan also provide guests with a seating area. The hotel is so beautiful and peaceful you almost don't want to leave. The staff were very welcoming and made us feel at home. We had the shabu shabu dinner and 2 Japanese style breakfasts which were cooked right in front of us by the lovely staff who we really enjoyed talking to. The location was only a 10 minute walk from Kyoto station but in a relatively quiet location, which was very much appreciated after the busy tourist spots of Kyoto. I couldn't recommend this hotel enough and we will definitely be returning if we are ever in Kyoto again.

Ryokan Sumiya Kihoan offers a hot spring bath and a hot tub, as well as air-conditioned accommodation in Kameoka, 13 km from Oyamazumi Shrine. This 4-star ryokan offers a lift and free shuttle service. There is a restaurant serving Japanese cuisine, and free private parking is available. Worth every cent! What an experience! I wasn't sure at first (as I had the whole responsibility on me to decide for the group I was with) and if you're on a budget like we were, well this is a spend ..BUT..so happy I booked Ryokan Sumiya Kihon. As a tattooed group we had to rent private. It was hilarious to be butt naked with your best friends and ridiculously relaxing. The food is delicious. Breakfast= huge but Dinner = a little small for our crew. (Spanish/Australian mix). It's fine. Just bring snacks ;).

The ryokan serves a vegetarian and vegan breakfast and breakfast in the room is also available. The hospitality was incredible. Beautiful room with an incredible breakfast. The hosts were absolutely lovely.

The hotel itself and our room were fantastic, we were very satisfied with our stay. The rooms are beautiful and spotlessly clean. The location is excellent, within walking distance to many places in the city center, and there is also a train station nearby. The hotel owners were incredibly kind, and they were very helpful upon our arrival and at our departure. We would be happy to stay here again on our next visit to Kyoto.
