The atmosphere was wonderfully relaxed and clean. The staff were absolutely outstanding, elevating the entire stay, especially our attendant, Yuma, who was professional, excellent, and truly made the experience memorable. The onsen was super relaxing, and the food was absolutely incredible—we highly recommend having dinner here. A perfect stay!

Everything was top notch, from accommodation to the very friendly and helpful staff. Object has shuttle bus that will take you to JR Kameoka which is great way to get back to Kyoto. Much recommended

The ryokan serves a vegetarian and vegan breakfast and breakfast in the room is also available. This is a traditional Japanese accommodation, part of a Buddhist temple. The room was impeccably clean, neat, and the host was so sweet to prepare the beds and heat the room for us! He even laid an electric sheet under the table so we would have a space to warm up upon coming! We had Japanese sweets and tea waiting for us, which was perfect for the rainy weather. The host is just a super warm and nice person, although he doesn’t speak English we were able to fully communicate with Google Translate and we didn’t miss anything! Location was amazing! Just at the center of the town, right above the wonderful restaurant - Funaya Kajiya (I highly recommend to book a table in advance) and a walking distance from a really cool cafe in which you can sit and drink it in one of the Funayas. We loved everything about this place and wished we could’ve stayed there at least one more night.
