All rooms all soundproof and air-conditioned, and fitted with a flat-screen TV, a fridge and an attached bathroom. This is our first time in Japan and we landed straight for 4 nights in this great hotel. You get the full japanese experience when you land including traditional Japanese breakfasts and dinners, the dinners are amazing so take the half board. The rooms are big, beautiful and facilitated and the staff is extremely welcoming and helpful. It is located about 15 minutes by train outside of Kyoto but if you like to leave the crowds behind at night it's worth the commute.

The on balcony onsen was amazing. As a couple with tattoos we couldn't use the main baths but this was perfect. Used it in the evening after dinner and then again in the morning watching the sun come up. The room was large and comfortable. The food was excellent.

I absolutely loved my stay at Hikone and Kiyotaki ryokan. The room I stayed in was spacious and smelled of tatami, the bath was newly and renovated and comfortable, there was a small table in room along with a kettle and a teapot set perfect for a cup of tea in the morning. This was both one of my favorite stays in Japan so far as well as one of the cheaper ones. The owner of this ryokan is super friendly well. He gave me tips on what to see as well as a map of local cafes and restaurants and other tourist attractions which he himself helped make. Overall the stay was super friendly and I hope to come back in the future and even book the dinner this time.

The process of getting picked up at the station was relatively easy and smooth The room we booked is very lovely and clean The staff are incredibly friendly and nice The terrace and hot spring bath is very spacious The view is so lovely on a clear day The meals are so traditional and the experience is so wonderful We only used the in-room onsen so cannot comment on the public ones Overall it was an amazing experience
Room was really big with two bedrooms with two different sleeping options - futon or raised beds - outside private onsen was superb - public onsen was outstanding
Very classy ryokan. Staff very friendly. Have a designated room for the dinner. Good food and Good onsen.
The hotel has a very nice view of Lake Biwa especially for the sunset. The space of the room is not huge but it perfectly fit a family of 4 with open air hot spring bath. The public onsen is also good and quite with nice view. Ard 45-55 mins drive to Gransnow Obuibuki
I loved everything!! It was amazing - the room, the fantastic onsen overlooking the lake, the super helpful and friendly staff who went out of their way to come and pick us up from maibara, the sensational breakfast and dinner, the yukata you get to wear around the hotel, the free udon and drinks in the evening. This place is really fabulous - i’d rate it more than 10 if I could!
I love that you provide halal food for both breakfast and dinner. We thoroughly enjoyed the spread! Love the small supermarket and yukata provided to us. Love the view of Lake Biwa from our room and the spaciousness of the room. We were delighted that there is a private onsen in the room too.
Everything. This place is magical, the rooms are so big and Japanese style, I had a room with 2 Tatami beds, a living room, a fridge, a beautiful space for sit and enjoy the garden. You can use the onsen for free. The owner gave us a lift to the train station, which was so kind. If you stay here, make sure to eat some skewers in the restaurant that is just at the front. Overall, this makes my experience unforgettable. 10/10
The staff were all friendly and welcoming. Dinner and breakfast were amazing, great service and so much food. The onsens were also lovely. The room was great, had good amenities, and information available in several languages - which was helpful. As a solo traveller it was great to be able to experience a ryokan - as many don't allow this
We expected a ryokan and this is what we found. The 3-room ryokan was well equipped with futons, microwave and fridge. The ryokan also offers a small but pleasant onsen. Staff were very amiable and friendly, though their English was supported by Google Translator. The place is a bit more than 1km from Hikone Castle and good restaurants.
We specially arranged the Ryokan experience for mum, we enjoyed the aircon room with bathroom and private onsen, we chose our Yukata and wore it for dinner and breakfast. Dinner was the highlight and it's sumptuous! It's contradictory to me that this nice Ryokan is run by bunch of young people when most of my Ryokan experience was interacting with elder.
