It was our first time with a traditional Japanese futon and we were surprised how comfortable sleeping was. Beautiful scenery and the most hospitable hosts (Maki, her mom the chef and Kenta the house pup) Thank you for an unforgettable stay! We can’t wait to come back again someday.

Guests can enjoy a meal at the restaurant. A free public hot spring bath facility called Nakao-no-yu is a minute's stroll away. Amazing 4-night stay at Berg Marukaneya! The half-board meals were fantastic—super delicious and very generous, both in the morning and evening. The room was comfortable, and the location was perfect, just a short walk from the ski lift and slopes. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, even thinking flexibly and creatively to help us extend our stay by two extra nights at the last minute. And as a bonus, we were even offered a free ride to the bus station. Highly recommended! BTW, the ski and snowboard rental across the street was also great!
