Nisshokan Bettei Koyotei is located in the Nagasaki Area, a 10-minute drive from Nagasaki Peace Park. Featuring views of the beautiful Nagasaki, it offers a public bath and free parking. This hotel is a little out of the way, but really worth it for the view. It's relaxing to see Nagasaki from above at different times of day. The staff were so friendly and always smiling and greeting guests, even giving us big waves as the station shuttle departed. I recommend taking advantage of the shuttle bus because while the city bus gets near the hotel, it's a steep mountain and the remaining walk is quite intense. The included breakfast was high quality.

The public onsen was also good. Dinner in a private room for our party was delicious. The town is very convenient to the mountains and the rest of the Unzen part of the national park.

Unzen Miyazaki Ryokan features a 1,650-square-meter Japanese garden, natural hot spring baths, free Wi-Fi, an on-site bar, cafe, souvenir shop and an exclusive lounge for... Spacious table-seating in the dining room, all tables having a view of the garden (really a park-like setting) and a menu that deserves an international rating at the highest levels, and that applies to both dinner (the landscape outside the glass wall is softly illuminated) and breakfast that offers Western coffee selections and the best of Japanese tea. We booked two nights and we were delightfully surprised to find that both the dinner and breakfast menus were varied. The wait staff and chefs paced the meal to our habits, and as English-speaking guests we never were challenged in communications.

At Unzen Fukudaya, guests can enjoy public indoor/outdoor hot-spring baths and relaxing massages. Free wired internet is provided in all rooms, while the lobby provides free Wi-Fi. Spacious room with two bathrooms. Amazing Onsen experience and Kaiseki meals. Helpful staff.

Room was big. "Shared" bathroom but you can lock so pretty much personal. The share bath is only shared by another room so shouldn't be occupied that often.

Ooedo Onsen Monogatari Premium Saikaibashi in Sasebo has a seasonal outdoor swimming pool and a garden. Boasting free shuttle service, this property also provides guests with a restaurant. The onsen was wonderful, beautiful, clean and well attended. Breakfast and dinner buffets were great with so many great choices and excellent presentation. The hotel staff was accommodating and explained things that were unfamiliar to us. The hotel itself has a beautiful location and is well maintained.
