Kanko Ryokan Yamato features city views, free WiFi and free private parking, located in Ikoma, 8.8 km from Iwafune Shrine. The property is around 9.1 km from Higashiosaka Hanazono Rugby Stadium, 12 km from Nippon Christ Kyodan Shijonawate Church and 12 km from Shijonawate City Museum of History and Folklore. The ryokan has family rooms.

At the ryokan, each unit comes with a tatami and a TV. At the ryokan, all units have a shared bathroom with slippers and free toiletries. Yamato may not be the closest to Osaka, but it is still pretty close to Ikoma station from where you can take the Kintetsu line into the city. The area around the ryokan is amazing, but warning - the stairs going up to it are only easy downwards :D Yamato itself is amazing, it has everything for the traditional ryokan experience - tatami, futon, onsen and yukata. The owner is super nice and she even asked her husband to help me with my big luggages, thank you so much! I would definitely come back here if I'm in the area!

The nearest airport is Osaka Itami Airport, 39 km from the property. Location is great, right in Nara park. Staff was helpful and understanding of the language barrier. Let us drop our bags off early before check-in. Great food and service for both supper and breakfast. Nice big room for the two of us. They were nice enough to order our taxi for us the morning we left so we didn't have to worry about hiking back to the train (or bus) station.

Amenities include a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, a fridge and toiletries. Guests sleep in Japanese futon bedding, and the rooms come with an all-wooden bathroom. We spent 14 days in Japan, in multiple cities...this was our favourite city and the hotel was a big part of that. The staff were so welcoming. The rooms were amazing. The private onsen on the roof was fantastic. We will be staying here again without question. A short walk to the temples, deer parks and places to eat and shop.
