Soundproof rooms feature a serene interior with a tatami (woven-straw) floor, low furniture and shoji paper screens. Amenities include a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, a fridge and toiletries. Guests sleep in Japanese futon bedding, and the rooms come with an all-wooden bathroom. We spent 14 days in Japan, in multiple cities...this was our favourite city and the hotel was a big part of that. The staff were so welcoming. The rooms were amazing. The private onsen on the roof was fantastic. We will be staying here again without question. A short walk to the temples, deer parks and places to eat and shop. The most amazing coffee house (Norr) is less than a block away.

The front desk staff were SUPERIOR, the room was beyond our expectations. Located in the heart of NARA, it was a short walk to all of the attractions and downtown shopping/restaurant area. I can't say enough about the superior level of customer care we experienced and wish I could remember her name to give her credit directly.
