Basic Japanese-style rooms overlook the temple compound, and feature a tatami (woven mat) floor, on which traditional futon bedding is spread to sleep in. They are fitted with air conditioning and a safe. Omg I'm still in shock, it was so magical and spiritual. I think only now I'm starting comprehend what happened there. Amazing once in a lifetime spiritual experience!! Highly recommended as a peaceful and quiet destination~~

Tsukihitei is located in the Kasugayama Primeval Forest, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Each guest room has a Japanese-style decor and offer panoramic forest views, traditional tatami (woven-straw) floors, and shoji paper screens. A really wonderful experience. Everyone there was so welcoming and lovely. The rooms, bath and dinner were all incredible. Genuinely one of our favourite stays anywhere.

Featuring an open-air bath and views of quiet street, Ryokan Asukasou at the entrancne of Nara park is a recently renovated ryokan located in Nara, 1.8 km from Nara Station. It is set 20 km from Iwafune Shrine and provides a lift. There is a terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi, free private parking and an electric vehicle charging station. Amazing location and the staff and free drinks and snacks on the reception. The pools were peaceful and empty
