We have stayed at many onsens around Japan over the years but this place is the very best of any we have stayed! It is a historic building that has 200 + years of history. Even the Japanese emperor stayed here a long time ago. On arrival the building looks a bit old but you quickly learn that it is nothing to be concerned about. Staff members, both old and young are exceptional and carry on the traditions of Japanese hospitality. The food, both breakfast and dinner was exceptional. Great variety of traditional Japanese cuisines. Every meal different items (except rice of course :>) . The natural spring hot tub just outside the room was very spacious. Temperature is adjustable by yourself. Truly a great place to spend 3 nights or more. Neighborhood walking also pleasant.

Sasakura onsen Ryuunso ligger i Itoigawa. Ryokanen har gratis wi-fi samt gratis privat parkering. This hotel carried Japanese style and tradition. That staff is friendly and supportive. The rooms are well appointed and in style of Japanese tradition. The best part are the natural mineral hot springs. Total rejuvenation and relaxation.

Amazing Ryokan with best food I ever had in a hotel! Wonderful personnel, amazing hispitality. Great onsen facilities. Has a besutiful traditional feel and located in a pristine, untouched nature. Private open air onsen has great views over the valley. So far, best hotel I have ever been in Japan. I highly recommend here to anyone wishing to experience such a great Ryokan. Thank you everyone for making my stay so wonderful.

Sake Hotel Tamakiya ligger i Tokamachi, 38 km fra Gala Yuzawa Skiresort, og har et fælles opholdsområde, en restaurant og gratis privat parkering. Ryokanen har gratis wi-fi og ligger ca. breakfast was excellent, it didn't seem much at first but once you started, the flavor of the different vegetables accompanied by the selected rice was incredible. Also loved the sake pairing of our French dinner.
