This 3-star ryokan offers free shuttle service and full-day security. The ryokan features rooms with air conditioning, free private parking and free WiFi. The location was fantastic. During our visit, the town was delightfully quiet with few tourists. It offered a serene atmosphere, and we enjoyed strolling to the nearby shrines.

A 5-minute walk from Yudanaka Train Station, Tawaraya offers Japanese-style accommodations with free Wi-Fi and a flat-screen TV. Guests can relax in the indoor and outdoor hot-spring baths and wear colorful Japanese Yukata robes. Massages can be requested for an extra cost.

Tawaraya Ryokan is a 10-minute drive from Snow Monkey Park and a 15-minute walk from Heiwa Kannon. Shiga Kogen Ski Resort is a 30-minute drive away. High quality of Service, Food and options for Onsens. Sincere staff (mainly a capable family of mother, daughter and a brother) providing the best attention to guests. Made me feel looked after from all aspects. It is the best experience in my two weeks trip in the winter as a solo female older aged traveller.

With an open-air bath, the 2-star ryokan has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, each with a shared bathroom. Guests can use the spa facilities, or enjoy mountain views. The owners, the meals, the facilities, and the outdoor bath.

At Daymaruya Ryokan, guests can enjoy hot-spring baths and traditional Japanese-style accommodations with free wired internet access. A free shuttle is available from Yudanaka Train Station, which is a 5-minute drive away. Very spacious and beautifully presented rooms in traditional Ryokan in the middle of Shibu Onsen. Comfortable Tatami beds. Great to have private toilet. The onsite outdoor private Onsen and inside (male/female) onsens were fantastic. Loved the supplied Yukata and Geta for the Onsens. Key supplied for all public onsens through town. The owners were so helpful and kind, driving us to and from snow monkeys and to Yudanaka station for our train. Enjoyed the traditional home made breakfast delivered to our room at reasonable price in beautiful bento box.

Offering a free-use reservable hot-spring bath, shared indoor and outdoor hot-spring baths, and traditional multi-course dinners with Shinshu beef, Shibu Hotel is 8 minutes from Yudanaka Train Station on the free shuttle. The traditional rooms have Japanese-style futon bedding on a tatami (woven-straw) floor. The food was fabulous and delicious, the location was perfect and the hosts were amazing and accommodating.

Located in the Shibu hot-spring area, Onyado Hishiya Torazo features Japanese-style accommodations. Guests can soak in the indoor and outdoor hot-spring baths and female guests can enjoy wearing colourful Japanese Yukata robes. Yudanaka Train Station is a 10-minute drive away and free Wi-Fi is available in the shared lounge. Beautiful inn. Right in the middle of Shibu Onsen - and grants you access to the key to do the onsen tour there. And when you’re done, there is a beautiful private onsen on site to enjoy as long as you’d like. This was the highlight of our trip!

Yasuragi Inn’s Japanese-style rooms have tatami (woven-straw) floors, futon beds and a flat-screen TV. Each room is air-conditioned. A fridge, an electric kettle and yukata robes are provided. The place feels very authentic and cozy
