Em Matsuyama, a cerca de 6 minutos a pé de Joshin-ji Temple, Kowakuen Haruka apresenta um jardim, quartos não fumador, acesso Wi-Fi gratuito e um restaurante. The hotel is modern but we were able to stay in the traditional Japanese style room - everything about the room was thoughtfully prepared (tea, drip coffee, robes and slippers for use when going to onsen, ice machine and small souvenir shop), clean and beds were comfortable. The location was very good, nice buffet dinner, live music performance at night and very kind staff. The rooftop onsen was excellent - it had a beautiful view of Matsuyama city, different soaking areas (outdoor and indoor with spa bubbles) and felt pretty private.

The dinner is spectacular, and they are well known for their Iya Soba (Sobakiri) that is pretty different from normal soba as it is thicker, shorter, and uses more soba flour. The shioyaki/salt grilled fish was delicious, and the yuzu sorbet they served after were great highlights in this kaiseki meal full of seasonal vegetables and ingredients. The rooms seem pretty newly renovated, and everything is clean and modern while still maintaining an older Japanese ryokan touch. Not sure if all rooms were like this, but we were given a large tatami room with a separate smaller living area and there were also 2 sinks. Perfect for a group of four to stay very comfortably while organizing luggage and packing without stress or having to climb over others to get ready. The staff were all incredibly kind and happy to see us, giving thorough explanations to meals and helping with luggage and even offering to take pictures of us in the snow. The property is also within walking distance to the vine bridge, which is where we went in the morning after check-out.

Localizado em Kasuga, a 26 km de Takamatsu, o Asan Kotonami dispõe de um terraço e de vistas para a montanha. Our best stay in Japan! This place is magnificent, beautifully located in the forest, right next to a river and a waterfall. The staff were superb, friendly and professional. We had a private onsen in our room, which was the best we’ve ever had - open air with a stunning forest view. The dinner was amazing and delicious. The ryokan also had a marshmallow BBQ station!

A 15 minutos a pé da Estação JR Kotohira, o Kotohira Kadan apresenta banhos quentes termais e espaçosos quartos de estilo japonês, alguns com um banho quente privado ao ar livre. Lovely room with a great view of the garden and distant mountains. The private bath on our balcony was excellent plus there was another bath that could be booked for private use with a view of the forest, free of charge. We had 2 kaiseki dinners which were delicious. There was plenty of food but the portions were more manageable than some similar hotels. The tempura was the best we've ever had! Staff were very friendly. You can walk to Kompira-san via a direct route from behind the property. There was a hotel shuttle bus to the station.

いやし亭 心空 situa-se em Naka, a 36 km de Estação Ferroviária de Tokushima e a 12 km de Templo Tairyūji. Staff exceptionally helpful with travel by rope way and bus about stops and time. Also about restaurants and local Lawsons which is .5 K walk. Excellent breakfast. Nice onsen with additional cold tub great for hot weather.
