Experiencing a Ryokan was amazing and Onyado Yuinosho is the perfect place for it, the staff is incredibly nice and accomodating, the food is incredible, the rooms and facilities are so fancy and pretty and atmosphere is so relaxed and cozy! They give you all sorts of amenities, they have free ramen at night, coffee, yogurt drinks and they even leave local candy to try inside the room! They also have vending machines for soft drinks/coffee/tea and alcohol! The meals they serve are extremely tasty and fancy with beautiful window views of the mountains! The private onsen rooms are beatiful and relaxing! The two nights we spent there were the highlight of our trip! Absolutely must recommend this place if you plan to visit Shirakawa-go!

Excellent location, comfortable rooms, outstanding staff!!!! Breakfast is wonderful, and the public baths were great. Lovely touches like sake tasting and yukata assistance were much apprciated.

A must stay, got to experience a wonderful private onsen-esque bath on a budget. Wonderful staff combined with one of the best social spaces I’ve had the pleasure of inhabiting.

The ryokan has an on-site restaurant which serves local meals. There are drink vending machines for the guests' convenience. Everything, we had a hot tube in the room and was amazing, free beer, free coffee, and free ramen. Private outside onsen was great

WOW. This was a shot in the dark booking since I couldn’t find a place near the beach that was tattoo friendly. We were blown away at the facility, amenities and overall beauty of the location. I booked 3 rooms. Everyone had their own private onsen bath. My husband and I upgraded to the sauna barrel room and we LOVED IT. The guys all did sauna in the morning. They even give you handmade authentic sauna hats. Breakfast was simple but filling. Half of the group did the Japanese style, half did American. My jumbo toast made me feel like I was in a Ghibli movie having breakfast. There is a vending machine in the breakfast area was a variety of snacks and drinks. Our van made it on the roads to the property. So a standard vehicle will have no issue. Beautiful creak flowing in the backyard of every room. Every room has an entrance, toilet & sink room, living room (doubles as bedroom bc you have tatami beds), vanity sink & rack, THEN sliding door to your shower & bath, THEN sliding door to your porch with seating. Our room had the barrel immediately to the left of the porch with ANOTHER outdoor tub. Price was excellent!!

At the property, there is an on-site family-friendly restaurant serving dinner and a selection of vegetarian options. The ryokan is located in a geothermal area, with a number of hot springs nearby for guests to relax in. The onsens were really nice. I appreciated the simplicity of the reservation system as well.

We travel quite a bit and this exceeded all expectations. Ask for Yamadasan and/or Kibesan. Rooms are spacious, amenities over and above and the Kaiseki is from local specialities and if I could give this a higher rating I would! Food, Service, Staff, cleanliness all an A+
