The food was incredibly worth it and one of the most memorable meals of our trip. The staff was gracious and helpful and the rooms were fantastic.

The facility is very well updated, modern and clean. The bath was very nice too. There were a few hot tubs; some outside, and very nice. Ryokan Asunaro: A Traditional Japanese Inn in Takayama. Nestled just a 6-minute walk from Takayama Station and the Nohi Bus Center, Ryokan Asunaro offers an authentic Japanese inn experience. We went as a group and we loved the ryokan. It was very spacious, everything was very clean, and it was conveniently located near the bus station, the train station, and the city center where most of the shopping takes place. The rooms were the most spacious we stayed in throughout Japan, and the staff were all very kind. I would definitely stay here again.

Just a 2-minute walk from Takayama Station, Oyado Koto No Yume offers Japanese-style rooms with a colourful touch. The hosts did a lot to accommodate us and gave a very good service. We received some tea on arrival and some nice gifts upon departure and during our stay we could taste local sake and plum wine.

Located in a 100 year-old Registered Tangible Cultural Property, Ryokan Hostel K's House is located in Shizuoka, a 7-minute walk from JR Ito Train Station. Every moment in the hostel felt unique exploring the authentic and historic ryokan building with extensive areas of tatami flooring, shoji walls and doors and of course the onsen.

Nestled in the tranquil Hida Mountains, Miyama Ouan Kyoritsu Resort offers traditional accommodation featuring hot spring baths and nature views. the property is so beautiful, the staff extremely welcoming. The services provided be it food or otherwise was excellent

Simple and high quality design with attention to detail everywhere across the house: materials, lights, blinds, equipment both indoor and outdoor. Very comfortable beds, fully equipped kitchen, quality toiletries, fantastic sauna, onsen, pool, phone chargers in every room etc. Relaxing place with Japanese flair. Fridge was prepared with soft drinks and beer.
