At the ryokan, every unit is fitted with a tatami and a flat-screen TV. There is a private bathroom with bidet in some units, along with slippers, a hair dryer and free toiletries. The units are equipped with heating facilities. The room was very confortable and cozy. Good A/C and lights as well as futon, tea, etc. Everything you need in a japanese style room. Showers were also good and spacious. The personnel were very kind and made me feel at my own home. It's a calm neighborhood, away from Shibuya craziness but also very close by transport thanks to JR Yamanote Line and Subway Asakusa Line in Gotanda Station. This property is also close to Osaki Station. This means a faster trip to Yokohama for example if you have JR Pass. By Osaki Station it's just one JR train in the JR Shonan-Shinjuku Line gets you to Yokohama in 20 minutes in the Special Rapid Train (pay attention not to get the Local or Rapid services as they are a bit slower).

Ryokan Asakusa Shigetsu is situated a 5-minute walk from Asakusa Subway Station, near Nakamise-dori Street and Senso-ji Temple. Asakusa Subway Station provides direct access to Ueno, Shibuya and Ginza areas, and also to the Narita and Haneda international airports. This is a great ryokan to stay that's right in the center of Asakusa tourist area, suprisingly quiet despite the location and just a few minutes walk from the hub-bub of Senso-Ji and its environs. The place has a lovely vibe even though they've been operating for 80 years, you could tell they take great effort in maintaining it well. The staff's extremely lovely and professional, very helpful. The baths on 6th floor look wonderful (though we didn't have the time to enjoy it and just took a peek). Also, you can understand the cultural tidbits of your room and Japanese practices in an easy-to-read pamphlet and the information guide in your room, nice touch! Recommend the non-Western rooms if you can afford it.

Situated 200 metres from Choen-ji Temple, 寅ホテル 御徒町 TORA HOTEL Okachimachi in Tokyo features rooms with air conditioning and free WiFi. It is set 300 metres from Tokaku-ji Temple and offers a lift. The ryokan has family rooms. It was super lovely! The facility is good. The house is cute and clean. Everything was new and stylish! The bed was sooo comfortable as well! Highly recommend for a group of 6 people for a comfy stay. I would definitely return here again

This was an amazing place to stay, very convenient for public transport, supermarket, and exploring the eastern side of Tokyo. The owner is very friendly and helpful and the place is very clean and equipped with everything you need. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Situated in Tokyo, within 1.5 km of Sensoji Temple and 2.2 km of Tokyo Skytree, Ryokan Nakadaya offers accommodation with a shared lounge. The property is set 3.5 km from Edo Tokyo Museum, 6 km from Marunouchi Building and 6 km from Yasukuni Shrine. Free WiFi is available. I had a fabulous stay, the owner was so nice and made the experience so wonderful. The rooms are clean and are cleaned daily. Toilets/showers are also kept clean. The showers had strong water pressure. WiFi was really fast. Location is good with a 10 min walk to the train station. I enjoyed the Japanese experience of sleeping in Ryokan. The owner gave many recommendations for Tokyo and also where is the best place for souvenirs rather than touristic locations which I wouldn't have discovered without the local knowledge so I am really thankful for that.

For your comfort, you will find bathrobes and slippers. Absolutely loved this place. The staff was incredibly kind, breakfast was great, and the beds were so comfy.
