The breakfast was the tastiest and most eye-pleasing meal I had in my entire 2 weeks-trip. The clam soup was so fresh. The host helped to call the previous hotel I stayed because I left my adaptor & mobile charger there. He was kind to also let me use his charger that night. The room was warm in chilly autumn night and I had a good sleep after soaking in hot bath. It was rainy when I arrived and left the ryokan but because of the hospitality I received, I wished I could have stayed there for another night or 2.

The best thing about this place is the people. Wonderful family is running this small cozy Inn along the road to Shirakawa-go from Toyama. We could not find affordable Inn in Shirakawa-go, so we chose this one just 40 minutes away. Very nice rooms decorated with good taste and comfortable. Toilet and sink are available in the room and the traditional bath separately for men and women is located downstairs. It was interesting to try it. Very helpful and friendly family members were willing to communicate and give us advice. And great meals were served with care and in a traditional way. We enjoyed our one night stay there a lot. Also, the bus stop was just outside the property, making it easy to take public transport there. We were able to visit Shirakawa-go and Suganuma World Heritage sites.

If you stay in gokayama, I recommend you should have dinner in booked hotel, becuz there is no restaurant open until 3pm...
