Lovely location close to both Bolton and Bury. Staff is lovely and always happy to help. The room had all the essential for one night, including a fan for warm nights and extra pillows. We have been here before and will come back when visiting the area

This was a last minute booking. We had a very pleasant stay. The staff were very helpful and the rooms comfortable.
Boasting spectacular views across the Rossendale Valley, this characteristic former mill is set within its own grounds, complete with flowers, gardens, rockeries and a cascading stream, in Ramsbottom,...

Absolutely nothing checked in and 5 minutes later checked out and went and booked somewhere else. The staff didn’t even question why we were not staying wouldn’t even recommend it.

checking process, was charged three parking's by mistake of the person trying to help me check-in as when I arrived there was no staff there and I was alone to try figure it out myself, also ordered room service and the web page said failed after two orders but charged my card each time so ended up paying 3 times for food but was issued refund at the bar but I had to go down and sort this out myself, also needed the physical card i used to get the refund which was annoying as nowadays everything is done virtually. Felt like a scam to be honest

We visit Bury regularly to see relatives.
We visit Bury regularly to see relatives. The surrounding area and parks are very good, scenery quite dramatic - bleak in places. A lot of history from the industrial revolution and textile mills. Enjoyed visiting the station and seeing the vintage trains, still being used. Disappointed that Bury market is only open a few days each week, we could not go in the indoor market & shopping areas with the dog.

Bury is pleasant, there is enough to do, restaurants and pubs, walking and some shopping. We were there for work so we did not have much time to look around and the weather was awful so no chance of walking far either.

Bury Town Centre has plenty of good shops and the famous Bury Market is worth a visit.
Ramsbottom is a pretty village ( not far from the Eagle and Child) and venture out a little bit to Whitefield for good restaurants.

I go to Bury for the East Lancashire Railway and usually go for the Summer Diesel Gala. Some interesting place and a good variety of pubs, bars and restaurants to suit all tastes. There is also the market and museums.
Great little place , only needed it to stay a couple nights so I can visit the bury arcade club which is the biggest arcade in through whole UK and it’s 5 minutes away from here. Polite hosts, they are quiet and it feels nice here . Bed is very comfortable and the room is warm with a radiator is you need it. Just call the host on his phone if he doesn’t answer the front door. There is a kitchen with a microwave to use as well
Starbucks on site was great & the grill was far better food than we had expected - the staff at the grill eatery/pub were fantastic too, very professional but with warm greetings & humour making for a very refreshing change to our experience at the hotel to that point.
The bed was very comfortable - the room & decor was not.
This hotel was just what we wanted. Location was good & easy bus transport into Bury town centre. Car parking is always important to me and the ample car parking on site was really appreciated. Breakfast was good, with choice of full or lighter option.
The rooms themselves were really good.
Bathroom was big and well maintained.
Bed was fine as were coffee / tea making facilities
Location was really good too.
Staff were also really friendly - so a good hotel all round really.
Excellent service friendly staff Excellent manager good meals reasonable breakfast excellent help when booking a taxi for going into Bury excellent room comfortable bed very clean room and a excellent shower
Good comfortable rooms and beds. A lovely pool/sauna a short walk away. Lovely location with plenty of parking for many guests which is useful as hotel was busy with a wedding reception. Helpful staff.
